Fun day out for families at Sports Day

KPs members had lots of fun at this year’s revamped Family Sports Day on 6 September at Aldenham School. This year’s turn up was higher than last year’s. There were many children, teenagers, youths, parents as well as senior members

The sports facilities at Aldenham School were excellent which included facilities for badminton (9 courts), five-a-side football, short tennis, volleyball and table tennis all in one main sports hall. On the top floor there is a dining and viewing area and a special room which was ideal for senior citizens who played cards and chopat games there. The whole facility was allocated for just KPS Sports Day.

After registration all events started on time and short tennis, badminton and table tennis events were completed by 1 pm, followed by lunch with variety of snacks which included samosas, bhel, sandwiches, crisps, fruits, soft drink, tea & coffee.

After lunch most people from all age groups took part in fun games which included lemon & spoon races, ball in bucket races, tug of war, etc. This was was followed by team events volley and five-a-side football for boys, girls, men and women.

At the presentation ceremony at 5.00pm Trophies were presented to the worthy winners of various competions. This year’s Sports Day was a fun day out for all family members.
